Air washer systems should be avoided as they present a bacterial pollution risks. To minimize the risks, these systems require very frequent maintenance. Algicides and anti-bacterials are used for the cleaning.

Microniser and hot steam systems operate without stagnant water and they therby avoid these problems of bacterial growth.
Water consumption:

With Microniser, all the water fed into the system will be absorbed by the airflow. A significant waste of water can thus be avoided.
Energy consumption:

Steam systems have a very high electricity consumption. This technique is very energy intensive because it consists in heating the water until evaporation. Furthermore the air is warmed by the steam, which is not always desirable.
